The Haida are one of the indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast of North America . Their national territories are Haida Gwaii Islands which lie along the west coast of Canada and include parts of south east Alaska .

Within Haida mythology , Raven is a central character, and we can compare him with the Monkey King in the Chinese famous novel "Journey to the West "
