pallid skins

by biases
echoing only
distorted
hollow sounds

unpredictable as

one minute
there’s laughter blooming among friends

wintry stare freezes up
a stranger’s
smile

breeding hatred
in our narrow
minds
showing fangs and
brandishing claws
wild beasts are
ever ready to pounce
