我們這是去看西湖哪

就在我們攜手從不斷的斷橋

踱上白堤的時候

我偶然回頭

瞥見她天真浪漫的眼睛

燦亮了一下

right before leaving for a morning walk

my wife asked

do I need to put on my makeup?

I said no no

we are going to visit West Lake

the unadorned beauty

walking hand-in-hand

from the Broken Bridge onto the White Dike

I knew I was right

when I happened to turn my head

and caught a glimpse of a bright smile

in her innocent eyes
