比這城市

更高大綺麗的

NIGHT OF SHANGHAI

with its gigantic mouth wide open

it swallows up truckloads

upon truckloads

of steel, cement and sand

turning over and over

every sleepless heart

is busily pounding 

trying hard to build a dream

more beautiful and colossal

than this city
