他們把

竹林裡的風聲

小橋下的流水

溫存親切的笑語

孩童的嬉戲

陽光裡月光下的牛鳴犬吠

鳥叫雞啼與蟲吟

還有天邊悠悠傳來的

一兩聲山籟

統統封入

這時代密藏器

然後深埋地底

讓千百年後的耳朵

有機會聽聽

一個寧謐安祥的世界

BIANZHONG

- AN ANCIENT CHINESE

MUSICAL INSTRUMENT UNEARTHED

They put in this time capsule

whispering wind from a bamboo grove

rippling stream under a wooden bridge

joyous shouts of children playing

gentle chat of grownups

mooing  barking  crowing  chirping  cooing

and the occasional rumbles

from a distant mountain

All of these and many more

they sealed and buried in the ground

to let us hear

thousands of years later

the ringing of a tranquil world

Ils ont mis dans cette capsule de temps
Le vent chuchotant venu d'un bosquet de bambou
Un courant ondoyant qui se hâte sous un pont en bois
Les cris joyeux d’enfants qui jouent
L’amène conversation des adultes
Les meuglements, les aboiements, les cocoricos,

Les pépiements, les roucoulements
Et les grondements éventuels
D'une montagne lointaine
Tout cela et bien d’autres sons encore,
Ils les ont scellés et enterrés bien profond
Pour nous permettre d’entendre
Des milliers d'années après
Les harmonies d'un monde tranquille
