五角大廈不妨炸成四角

但當兩千多個無辜的

血肉之軀

在烈焰中煎熬哀號

我們不得不狂撥求救電話

給真主阿拉或任何上帝

卻突然遲疑停頓了下來

如果萬能的祂

連那些僭用祂名字的懦夫們

心頭熊熊的恨火

都無法撲滅

We really didn't care much about

the collapse of the Twin Towers

nor the Pentagon turning into a Tetragon

but when thousands of innocent lives

were agonizing in the flames

we frantically tried to dial for help

from Allah or whichever God

Yet somehow we hesitated—

if the Almighty couldn’t even extinguish

the flames of hatred in the hearts

of the cowards who usurped His name
