太空的星辰  

肅穆的午夜的太空

有無數顆星星

在音樂的旋律下

各自循行著他們的軌跡

放射出強與弱的不同的光彩

表現其自我的形態

我  是太空裡的一顆不可揣摩的行星

神秘地出現於

這遼闊而深邃的宇宙空間之彼端

我  有我自己的聲音

我  有我自己的形態

我  有我自己的軌跡

我  有我自己的光彩

我遠遠地馳騁在我的陰黯的軌道上

我靜靜地投射我的光與影於宇宙的星羣

我永遠唱我自己的歌

走我自己的路

    1953年11月24日作於台大校園，時年20歲

Stars

In the silent midnight sky                          

Countless stars

Are following the rhythm of a melody

Moving along their tracks

Shining their different lights

Some strong, some weak

And each one trying to show its best

I am a mysterious star in the sky

Who is appearing

On the other side of the unbound universe

I have my own voice

I have my own form

I have my own trail

I have my own glory

Far away, I run on my own obscure track

I quietly cast my light and shadow on the universe

I will sing my own songs

And go my own way
