小南風吹過故鄉麥地

紫雲英散發暮春的最後氣息

油菜結莢，麥子灌漿

嫩豆角成了盤中餐，味道鮮美

老蠶豆守著寧靜

等待明天——成熟的前夜

玉蘭花香氣逼人

蚊子的羽翅

在城市的燈影下，輕輕搖曳

“麥子上場，蚊子下鄉”

它們在等待

一個輝煌的時刻，五月的夜晚

A gentle south wind blows across the wheat field

 in my hometown

Chinese milk vetch sends out the last breath of late Spring

Rapeseeds are in the pod bearing period

while wheat grains in the milk

Tender horsebeans are cooked as a dish with delicious taste

while Old horsebeans keep quiet

waiting for tomorrow-- the eve of maturity

The fragrance of magnolia flowers are strong

The wings of mosquitoes flicker gently

under the shadow of city lamps

As the saying goes. “When the wheat is heaped up

on the threshing ground, mosquitoes go to the countryside."

They wait for a glorious moment

in the evening of May

Lovely gentle south wind brushes

the cuff of my shirt, making me comfortable
