初 夏

水邊蒲草小南風，

鳥啄櫻桃數點紅。

槐序清和春事了，

二三蜂蝶亂籬中。

Early Summer

---For Mr. Rodger Martin

The south breeze blows the leaves of cattail

by the water, and

the birds peck a grain of red cherry.

The Spring is over when the locust flowers

bloom in early summer,

And a few butterflies flutter among the hedges.
