便高高舉起
朗照四方的光芒
她的姐妹
在北京天安門
卻不得不用
被坦克輾斷了的
雙手
死命抱住
一支猶在吱吱冒煙的火炬
猛力刺向
膠黑凝滯的天空
老朽緊縐的
額頭

harbor
the Statue of
Liberty, poised and majestic
holds a torch
high with only one hand
a torch that
illuminates the whole world
Yet her twin
sister in Beijing
the Statue of
Democracy, on her knees
and bloodied by
crushing tanks
must struggle
with both hands
to hold onto a
smoldering torch
which she
eventually thrusts
with all her
might
toward the
smoke-blackened, impassive sky
the wrinkled
forehead of an old man
