TO VISIT MUSE BY NIGHT
Pulling along the exaggerated grey- hair of Li-Po
To finger thinly the contemplative beard
If the moonlight were a ladder
Oh ! several miles up the height
I could visit Muse by night
The stars scatter full in the air
Should be the words of thy poem
And the crescent moon at the end of the sky
Whether it is a cup of the magician to changes its shape
Or the twisting curved line of the painter?
Now, the breeze comes slowly
Is it the so-called inspiration ?
Note : Li-Po (701-762), a famous poet in Tang dynasty of ancient China.
